The Fondation Louis Vuitton opens an exciting new cultural chapter for Paris. It brings the city a new space devoted to art — especially contemporary art — and above all a place for meaningful exchanges between artists and visitors from Paris, from France, and from the entire world. By encouraging spontaneous dialogue, the new Fondation seeks to inspire both emotion and contemplation.  

This is a distinctive cultural initiative because the Fondation is private. It has been made possible thanks to the corporate patronage of LVMH and the Group's companies, notably Louis Vuitton, reflecting the values shared by all the people of LVMH and its shareholders. The House of Longchamp has turned to the artist Sarah Morris to reinterpret its iconic Le Pliage ® bag in celebration of the line’s 20 th anniversary. She redesigned the nylon Le Pliage ® bag to create a white bag, reproducing an extract from the painting Total Annual Solar Eclipse. Le Pliage ® Palette is available in a rainbow of colors, which are precisely Sarah Morris’ area of work. The artist has created eight bespoke shades, all available with white or black handles.

Kering maintains steady growth pace
  

∞    Revenue up 4.4% on a comparable basis 
∞ Luxury activities hold firm in a complex business environment: up 3.5%  on a comparable basis 
∞ Positive momentum in Sport & Lifestyle: up 6.1% on a comparable basis  

In the third quarter of 2014, Kering recorded €2.6 billion in revenue, up 4.4% on a comparable Group structure and exchange rate basis and up 3.3% on a reported basis. Revenue for the first nine months of the year was up 4.2% based on comparable Group structure and exchange rates.  
Luxury activities reported sales growth of 3.5% on a comparable basis, driven by the strong performances of directly operated stores, particularly in North America and Japan, while Sport & Lifestyle activities advanced 6.1% on a comparable basis with sales momentum powered by the relaunch plan at Puma.

The renowned filmmaker Baz Luhrmann (The Great Gatsby, Australia, Moulin Rouge!, Romeo & Juliet, Strictly Ballroom, and more) has done it again, alter Nicole Kidman, this time starring ultimate supermodel Gisele Bündchen and actor Michiel Huisman who are the new heroes of this new Chanel No. 5 film-commercial titled The One That I Want. It is about the 21st-century woman who has it all but draws the line on her career when her marriage is in trouble, ultimately choosing love. Conceived, produced, and directed by Luhrmann, with the soundtrack crooned by the very talented Lo-Fang, The One That I Want feels like a Hollywood movie trailer for a full-length film that will never happen...perhaps only in the life of the woman wearing Chanel No5.

International tourism and a stronger middle class are shaping luxury trends, including luxury experiences and alternative luxury channels, with a focus on consumer nationality rather than geography

Milan - October 14, 2014 – Slower, but steady: that is the ‘new normal’ for the global luxury market in 2014 – and potentially beyond, which is acclimating to lower, but more sustainable long-term growth.  Among currency fluctuations, persistent economic weakness in Europe and external forces, such as the Crimean crisis and protests in Hong Kong, demand from Chinese consumers and mature consumers in the U.S. and Japan re-approaching luxury have helped to counter a potentially significant downward momentum. These are top-line findings from Bain & Company, the world’s leading advisor to the global luxury goods industry, in the 13th edition of the “Luxury Goods Worldwide Market Monitor” released today in Milan in collaboration with Fondazione Altagamma, the Italian luxury goods manufacturers industry foundation.

LVMH: 4% INCREASE IN REVENUE FOR THE FIRST NINE MONTHS OF 2014

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world's leading luxury products group, recorded a 4% increase in revenue to reach €21.4 billion for the first nine months of 2014. Organic revenue also grew by 4% compared to the same period in 2013. All business groups grew except Wines & Spirits which continues to be affected by destocking by distributors in China.  
With organic revenue growth of 4% in the third quarter, the trend remains comparable to that recorded in the first half of the year. An improved growth rate in Europe and the United States during the quarter compensated for the slowdown observed in Asia.

For the end of 2014, she has playfully interpreted the concept of metamorphosis of the Dom Perignon : The "Cocoonase",  a fossil like sculpture that envelop and embrace the Dom Perignon at a price of 12 000 €, With First Delivery starting in April 2015. Each creation is made to order in hand painted resin.
Along with the "Über piece creation", the audacious artist has also signed limited edition gift box that accompanies Dom Perignon Vintage 2004.
