It is said that the FOSUN has invested €100 Million, and that the historical shareholders, Ms Shaw-Lan Wang and Mr Ralph Bartel would retain a minority stake in LANVIN.
This will mean for LANVIN, a new beginning and a great rebirth for this Luxury Brand that has a very strong potential but that has never been fully materialized it in the era of modern luxury.
The Brand was recently struggling financially in the last couple of years specially after the departure of Albert Elbaz, its star designer.
Nevertheless, I believe that LANVIN remains one of the fashion's best know labels, the epitome of Parisian Chic, ultra feminine by essence, but that could also offer masculine elegance.
With the right creative director, forceful international strategic & business plans and talented teams and management, LANVIN could be in the future one of the most important power houses of the french luxury fashion in the world.
